Under Shaams project Berytech, 0 Waste Act, JCI Lebanon and kids Genius organized a training session on renewable energy for the sun clubs members (teachers and students) on Friday the 5th of June 2015 at Berytech Digital Park, Bechara El Khoury, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The training’s main purpose was to prepare the participants to a summer camp occurring on July, raising awareness of youth towards solar energy.
Sun clubs got the chance to meet each other over finger food for the first time. They discussed the main ideas of the videos concerning solar power they submitted as first task of the project.
Afterwards, the training started. Coaches made sure to prepare interactive sessions where they putt in practice all their presentation using tools and direction for the trainees to understand how solar energy actually works. At the end of the period the winners of the video competition was announced. It was Sagess High School team who received the first prize. As a reward, the student got gifts that they will be using during the camp.
