SHAAMS’s final objective is to establish efficiency-proven governance solutions able to promote innovative, transferable and sustainable solar energy policies. To do so, the project facilitates the dialogue among public administration bodies, research centers, private firms and civil society organizations.

In order to create concrete opportunities for dialogue, national energy roadmaps – under the form of Energy Country Reports – were prepared for Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan with the aim to define the political, legislative, institutional, and financial frameworks needed for an effective development of solar energy. The national energy roadmaps have been discussed in each country within multi-stakeholders national meetings gathering over 140 people. In Egypt, the meeting was held in Alexandria on October 20th, while in Lebanon took place in Beirut on October 30th. In Jordan, the national multistakeholders meeting will be organized in December.

All the inputs provided by the stakeholders will be integrated in the final version of the national roadmaps.
